I tried to cover as many as ATM I can. Below is the list of ATM and the photo I took as of April 2026.
Everest Bank Limited ATM
Everest Bank Limited did not have many ATMs available around Phewa Lake, and overall, they seem to have very limited locations in the city. I found this one near Metro City Hospital, Pokhara. Even though they have an Indian bank (PNB) as an investor, there are no special concessions on withdrawal charges.
Charges: $5 per transaction
Cards Accepted: VISA / Master / Discover / Dinner Club, etc.
NMB Bank ATM
NMB Bank had an ATM available near Phewa Lake, which was convenient, and the charges were on the lower side.
Charges: 600NPR(~4.38USD at the time of withdrawal) per transaction
Cards Accepted: VISA / Master / Discover / Dinner Club, etc.
Nepal SBI Bank ATM
Nepal SBI Bank had an ATM available on the Phewa Lake street with the lowest charges among all the ATMs I found.
Charges: 500NPR(~3.32USD) per transaction
Cards Accepted: VISA / Master
NABIL Bank ATM
The very first ATM I found around Phewa Lake was from NABIL Bank. It was the most expensive one and still failed during the transaction.
Charges: 850NPR(~5.64USD) per transaction.
Cards Accepted: VISA / Master / Discover / Dinner Club, etc
In my opinion if you are near Nepal SBI Bank ATM, then it’s the best for you. If you own a card which is not common then NMB And NABIL are best.
